The years of adolescence are full of physical growth and change. Therefore it is important to fuel your body adequately and regularly. Adolescence sees a change in body shape, hormones and is the transition from child to adult. This can be a difficult time of adjustment. New feelings and body changes can take a while to get used to. Now is the time to develop a healthy attitude towards your health, after all, you are ultimately responsible for it!
You may become more aware of certain food choices down to body image, training and exercise demands, social issues such as vegetarianism, peer pressure to drink, smoke or take drugs etc. Be informed, know your body and your mind and listen to common sense. Keeping healthy is pretty simple stuff, there’s no need to overcomplicate things and remember, your parents are generally ALWAYS right!
